How To Schedule an Automated Report

In this video here we will go over how to set up a scheduled report, specifically an automated daily report. Click the reports page & the first tab it take you to is our scheduled reports. On the left hand side right there are your current scheduled reports and a nice clean calendar view on the right hand side.

To create an automated report, we’ll come up here to new report and pick out a template that we want to use. I will name this one daily example. We always want to make sure it is set to recurring when we're scheduling reports. If we don't have it, it'll just be a one time report. Once we've done that, we'll pick out our truck.

Then you can select all present and future jobs. Once I've done that, it's now just time to finish out my automation settings. You can see on the calendar view we had a couple of different colors, red and blue. I'll pick green so we keep things easy to differentiate at a glance. This field right here will give you the options to pick your recurrence settings. You can set reports up daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly. For this example, I'm staying on daily. You'll enter an email address, so make sure it's the right one that you want it to go to and everything is spelled correctly. Next, you'll pick out how you want that report to be delivered. The link will take you back into SRO to view the report. The attachments will come arrive with email you receive instead. Outside of that, we have our last few settings over here. The delivery controls when the report actually gets emailed to you. I kept it on immediately, since I want that report to land in my inbox as soon as it's done generating.

The start date will always be the date after the day you create the report on. The check box below determines whether I'm going to be receiving reports five days a week or all seven days of the week. Run time is when that report runs. The report is currently set to never end. You can have it end on a specific date or after a specific amount of occurrences. And then this box down here is to make sure that you do not get any empty reports cluttering up your inbox. If you didn't paint the day before, this is a nice way to make sure you're not looking at a report with all 0’s.

To finish up, we save it. Now that report will show up on my list of scheduled reports & on the calendar. On the list, you can use the 3 dots to edit, duplicate or delate the scheduled report. That's how you spec, right y'all. Again, if you do have any additional questions or you do need further training, just let us know whether that's through our support channels or even myself directly.
